The part of the neighborhood east of I-526 is densely populated, with Sam Rittenberg Boulevard acting as a major commercial corridor. Many homes for sale in West Ashley are clustered in this area, giving residents access to the sector's best amenities. Avondale is a major draw, with a Main Street feel replete with lovely store fronts housing shops, breweries, and restaurants. Many of West Ashley's most desirable neighborhoods border the Avondale entertainment district.
